One exciting part about wearing braces is getting to choose the colours of your rubber bands. Even though the braces use don’t require these elastic bands or ligatures, we can still put them on to decorate your braces.  However, the coloured elastics are used as an incentive for our patients who can demonstrate excellent oral hygiene and proficient brushing skills.  Since the coloured ligatures are rubber, they tend to attract unwanted food and plaque, so we use them for selective patients only, so keep those teeth clean!

Children and teens often enjoy picking different colours to express their creativity and coordinate their braces with outfits or upcoming events. Decorating your mouth with your favorite colours is fun for kids and adds fun to wearing braces. When looking for subtlety, there is no need for any colours, as our special “self-ligating braces” hold the wires in on their own.

Choose your colours to match your mood, personality, or favourite outfits. Make a bold statement or go for subtler tones.
